Chapter 1 - The Beginning

The obvious place to start is in the beginning - if you can identify it! You see, anything as stunningly far reaching in its' effects as the Harmony United Technology never has any single starting point.

One could say, for example, that it began with Nils Bohr, the "father" of Quantum Physics. Equally, one could say that the much neglected work of the Serbo-Croat physicist, Tesla lead inexorably to the Harmony Evolution. The German physicist, Burkhardt Heim is, according to Dipl. Ing(FH) Joachim M. Wagner, the "manifestor" of the Harmony United technology, the one who really laid much of the groundwork.

From a completely different direction, one could claim that the phenomena experienced through the Harmony Evolution are described in detail in the ancient Indian Vedas, the Jewish Kabala, the Laws of Magik, the Tibetan Kan Gyur and many other largely disregarded texts.

For a thing to become known and used it is not sufficient merely to "invent" it. The adage about making a better mousetrap and the World will beat a path to your door is nonsense: How will they know it even exists? Creating the device is a necessary first step. It is, however, "merely" the first step. Of equal importance is learning how to use it, i.e. what are its' capabilities and limitations and how does one best apply it, and identifying who the potential users are and bringing it to their attention at a profitable price they're willing to pay. Many wonderful inventions have failed to find their customers because one or both of the necessary steps following the invention never happened. So it was, initially, with that which came to be known as the Harmony Evolution.

Although a marketable product has existed since 1989, it "stumbled along" for some years with a single major customer and, when that customer suddenly went bankrupt, production virtually ceased for a considerable time.

The Harmony Evolution is, however, much too important for the World that this state of affairs could be allowed to continue and so it was that Karma Singh was, "despite his better judgement," brought to the Harmony Chip.

In a sense, one could say that this was also the beginning of the Harmony Evolution story as, up until then, the device had been called something completely different; something so instantly forgettable that it best remain so.
